Confirm NTG 5.5 rather than choosing by screen appearance

NTG 5.5 is a separate PIN family from NTG 5 and NTG 5.1. Use the VIN result to identify the offered generation and compare it with the installed navigation system. A COMAND name or widescreen display alone does not establish the correct map family, especially after a replacement or retrofit.

NTG 5.5 map versions by region

The catalog's final Europe entry is 2025 (v29), while North America ends at 2025 (v30). Southeast Asia, India and Taiwan list 2026 (v22). These labels belong to different regional packages: a higher number or newer year from another market does not make that package suitable for your car.

These are entries in the navi-update map catalog, not a guarantee that each package works with every vehicle. The version shown is the final entry for that region, which the lookup uses when selecting a map. Confirm the package and file availability before paying, especially where files are not listed as available.

Prepare the matching package

The PIN purchase does not include physical media or installation work. After a supported lookup, use the link to the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager and select the matching NTG 5.5 package, region and version. The catalog uses NTG5.5 as its Download Manager identifier.

Ordering and delivery

Confirm the VIN, NTG 5.5 system, map region and version in “Generate Map PIN”. The base price is €70; checkout shows the selected currency and applicable VAT before payment. After payment and generation complete successfully, the PIN appears on the confirmation screen and an email confirmation is sent to your checkout email.

Save the confirmation and use the code when the vehicle asks for map authorization. The PIN does not perform a firmware update, add a missing navigation feature or convert the unit to another region.

If installation completes but navigation asks for activation

Take a photo of the exact screen message and contact support with the order reference. Some activation problems need system-specific review. Confirm the required procedure before asking a workshop to perform diagnostic activation or changing the head unit software.

If your package is missing from the catalog

Send support the desired region and version. The NTG 5.5 catalog identifies files ending in .updateinfo as package metadata useful for review. If you already have the maps, mention that file in your request; do not order a code for a different catalog version in the meantime.
