Match the navigation unit before ordering
The catalog groups NTG 4.5 and NTG 4.7 under the NTG 4.5 PIN product. Confirm that your VIN result returns this family, then compare it with the unit installed in the car. A similar COMAND screen or the same model year is not enough to distinguish it from NTG 4, NTG 5 or a retrofitted system.
If the head unit was changed, collect its known part number and a photo of the map version screen. Use the identification guide or ask support to review the configuration before purchasing a code for the factory VIN data.
Regional map versions in the catalog
The last catalog entries are Europe 2023 (v20) and North America 2020 (v20). The same version number in different regions does not identify the same package. Older publication years in other regions are shown below as listed; do not expect a 2026 map simply because you order a code in 2026.

Map files and the activation PIN are separate
This €40 base purchase generates the activation PIN for the VIN, system, region and version in the order. It does not include a prepared USB drive, an SD card or installation work. The supported lookup links to the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager, where you select the matching package and follow its preparation requirements.
Match the Download Manager's NTG 4.5 package and market with your lookup. Follow that package's file-system and media requirements. The Mercedes Download Manager manual includes package rows with different storage requirements, so a rule from another NTG family should not be applied automatically.
What to check when the update asks for a code
- Confirm that the vehicle VIN matches the VIN in checkout.
- Compare the map region and full version label with the package you prepared.
- Review the €40 base price and checkout total before completing payment.
- Save the PIN from the successful confirmation screen and email, then enter it when requested by the vehicle.
Follow the installation guide and the instructions for the vehicle's multimedia system. If the code is rejected, record the exact message and compare the order details before trying different map files or ordering another PIN.
If your map version is missing
Contact support with the desired region and version. For NTG 4.5, the catalog identifies DBINFO.ME as the map metadata file useful for reviewing a package. If you already have the files, mention that file in your support request; confirmation is needed before a missing version can be ordered.
